Active History Active History provides professional development for history teachers, particularly in the field of ICT. The company is run by Alf Wilkinson, currently the Historical Association’s Professional Development Officer and one of the most experienced providers of professional support for the history teaching community. Lee-Capelle’s Peter Britton has long experience in the field of history software and he was given the job of helping to design the training programme - originally a highly-commended part of the NOF training scheme - to develop the software modules which support it and to help in the actual delivery of the course. Active History is in the process of broadening its portfolio of offerings with software packages to help history teachers use ICT more effectively in their classes and in their own work.
